The University of Nebraska-Lincoln conferred a record 3,885 degrees during commencement exercises May 8-9. The 3,762 graduates - also a record - are from 61 countries; 45 U.S.

HASTINGS, Neb. (May 11, 2026) - Hastings College held its 140th Commencement on Saturday, May 9, 2026, awarding degrees to 190 undergraduates and seven Master of Arts in Teaching graduates. Graduates represented 21 states and nine countries.

SEWARD, NE (05/11/2026)-- On May 9, nearly 500 Concordia University, Nebraska undergraduate and graduate students were awarded degrees. The class of 2026 was honored during a commencement ceremony held in the Walz Human Performance Complex.

CURTIS, Neb. — The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture honored Hannah Brett of Middlesex, Vermont, with the Aggie of the Year award during commencement ceremonies May 8 at the Curtis Memorial Community Center. Presented by NCTA Associate Dean Jennifer McConville, the award recognizes an outstanding graduating student who demonstrates leadership, service, academic achievement, and dedication to the college community.

Skin cancer is one of the top 5 most common forms of cancer found in southwest Nebraska every year. There have been 155 cases of melanoma of skin in the health district between 2013 and 2023.

Tri Valley Health System is proud to announce that Kinsley Pearson, RN, has been named the recipient of the 2026 DAISY Award, recognizing her extraordinary compassion and dedication to patient care. Pearson was presented with the award during a special celebration at Tri Valley Health System on Wednesday, surrounded by nurse managers, CEO Clay Jordan, her nominator, and family members.
