The Village of Oxford heard from Taylor Lueking about the need to order new AED monitors for the ambulances during their meeting on Monday, August 1. Lueking told the board they can no longer get pads for the devices they have as all of the pads, batteries are being discontinued to the United States. He said one new monitor is $38,000. Clerk Becky Calderone said there is not enough money in the EMS account to buy one right now. The merger with the Rural Fire District should also be complete by October 1 st . Board Chairman Clint McQuiston said they need to be a part of the solution as they will end up making the payments on any loan.

In other business the board approved moving forward with the agreement with rural fire with some changes made. They also had their budget workshop with Tracy from the auditor’s office. The Budget hearing will be in September.

In Calderone’s report she talked about the land bank and the only benefit they see right now is the ability to alleviate back taxes. The bank would require 2 non-voting and one voting member. It is thought to keep doing everything themselves for now and maybe look at it again later.

In Duane Hoffman’s report he said they are now out of the solar array. The last property did not work out and the nursing home property will not be owned by the Village in time.

The meeting adjourned at 8 pm.
