Governor Pillen expands burn ban

Body Governor Jim Pillen signed an executive order extending a burn ban due to continued dry conditions in the central and western regions of Nebraska. The new order remains in effect until midnight May 20.

Kotschwar and Stengel awarded Scholarship

Body Kahner Kotschwar of Moorefield, Nebraska and son of Kristen Kotschwar has been awarded a scholarship from Consolidated Companies, Inc. for the 2025-2026 school year. Kahner will receive a scholarship of $2,000 for higher education.
