Arapahoe teacher named Art Educator of the Year

“I was really, really excited and relieved to know my hard work doesn’t go unnoticed,” says Arapahoe-Holbrook Public School K – 12 art teacher Ashley Picquet of being named the Marvin Spomer Novice Art Educator of the Year. “I feel like I deserve it, because I do work hard.” Ashley received her award last Friday, October 11 during the Nebraska Art Teachers Association Fall Conference in McCook.

The weather has changed! But only in the temperature department. As of Tuesday morning, there has been no frost on The Hill but that might change in the next 24 hours. One thing that hasn’t changed is the moisture department. There’s disagreement on lots of things, but there’s none on the subject of our need for moisture. The Arapahoe-Holbrook School Board held their regular meeting on October 14, 2024, and accepted the retirement notifications of fourth-grade teacher Dale Henderson, and long-time Business and Marketing teacher, Lynn Crosley at the close of the 2024-2025 school year.
