An item on the ballot for Furnas County in the upcoming election is the dissolution on the Furnas County Weed Board. Furnas County Commissioners asked for this issue to be on the ballot.

The Village of Oxford Board of Trustees approved a resolution declaring the property at 701 Central a dangerous building during their regular meeting on Monday, October 14, 2024. The property has been looked at by the board of health as well as receiving complaints by other residents. Bobbi Pettit, Five Rule Planning, said the law firm they work with on properties will get the paperwork filed. Five Rule will also send the letters out to the owners.
