BY Maddie Schoen, Southern Valley student Many high schoolers look forward to their sports competitions, but without referees, the games would not happen. Referees play an important role because they provide fair competition and help ensure the safety of athletes so no one gets too out of hand.

Arapahoe Seniors in a Life and Career Readiness class took on job shadows with hopeful future employers. Nine students were given the opportunity to learn about careers throughout the first semester of this academic year at Arapahoe. Students were asked to really dig into themselves and their futures.

unMc announces fall 2022 dean’s list

The University of Nebraska Medical Center has announced its fall 2022 dean’s list for students enrolled in nursing, dentistry, pharmacy and the allied health professions. To qualify for the dean’s list, nursing and the allied health students must be enrolled for 12 or more hours during the semester and have a grade point average of 3.75 or above.

tri Valley Health system offers patients a simple and secure way to access medical data

CAMBRIDGE, NE – Tri Valley Health System is now offering Health Records on iPhone, which brings together hospitals, clinics and the existing Apple Health app to make it easy for patients to see their available medical data from multiple providers whenever they choose. The Health Records feature is part of the Health app, which also shows activity, heart rate, nutrition and other health data consolidated from iPhone, Apple Watch and HealthKit-enabled third-party apps.

Nebraska Veterans Council to sponsor Veterans Legislative Day

Lincoln (January 20, 2023) – The Nebraska Veterans Council is sponsoring a Veterans Legislative Day for veterans to discuss proposed legislation with Governor Pillen and several State Senators. The Council is a coalition of recognized veterans service organizations which are banded together to serve as the “Voice of the Nebraska Veterans” The free event begins with registration at 8:00 a.m.
