The University of Nebraska Medical Center has announced its fall 2022 dean’s list for students enrolled in nursing, dentistry, pharmacy and the allied health professions. To qualify for the dean’s list, nursing and the allied health students must be enrolled for 12 or more hours during the semester and have a grade point average of 3.75 or above.

elwood school board approves pair of teacher hires

ELWOOD - The Elwood Board of Education met Monday to approve a pair of new teacher contracts for new hires as well as a number of small projects for building and grounds maintenance. After approval of consent agenda items as well as the bills, the Board approved seven items in new business.

Elwood Spring Gala is set for March 25

The Elwood Area Foundation will host the 12th Annual Spring Gala on March 25. The community fundraiser has become an annual tradition with proceeds from the event supporting community projects and youth programs and projects. The evening features complimentary cocktails, a served dinner, and silent and live auctions. Live music from the band The Innocence will close out the night.

6,900-plus Huskers named to fall Deans’ List

This year, our region’s very own Kansas City Chiefs are returning to the big game, and we aim to keep all of Chiefs Kingdom safe. Super Bowl LVII is on Sunday, February 12, 2023. If you’re heading out to a Super Bowl party and you plan to drink alcohol, make sure you plan for a designated driver to get you home safely at the night’s end.
