CAMBRIDGE – The topic of revitalizing senior centers is a conundrum that the Nebraska Health and Human Services Department of Aging as well as other aging specialists and professionals are taking seriously.

The Furnas County Spelling Bee was held at Southern Valley Schools last Wednesday with each of the three county school boasting winners in the written and oral categories. Arapahoe’s Thomas Magorian took first place in the written portion while Cambridge’s Reid Huxoll finished first in the oral round.

The Gosper County Senior Center is in full swing and has coffee drinkers in at 8:30, pool-players in the midmorning, exercise machines that are in motion, a puzzle on the table, domino game to get started after lunch and of course great noon dinners for you to enjoy with friendly neighbors. The staff will continue to make your visit here, either while participating in the activities or eating our noon meal, as positive and enjoyable as can be. Thanks for your support.
