Old Cellar Vineyard Opens a Wine Tasting Room

Body
By Guyla Mills ARAPAHOE – The local vineyard located at 711 North Street has seen a lot of changes since Gary and Judy Thompson began their viticulture enterprise in 2010. The vineyard has grown from one acre that yielded its first fruit crop in 2012 to 20 acres over the past 12 years. It is estimated that each acre yields about approximately five tons of grapes. This past year, the vineyard produced over 90 tons of grapes.
The Old Cellar Vineyard in Arapahoe that produces more than 90 tons of grapes annually now has a tasting room to sample or purchase wines made from those grapes.
