The Beaver City WeePee Baseball team brought home the first-place trophy from the Stamford Chamber of Commerce Tournament by defeating Orleans 19-0 in the first game, Alma 9-3 in the semifinals and Arapahoe 6-1 in the finals. The team is coached by Roger Powell, assisted by Lynn Marshall and Randy Weaver.

Chester Francis of Wilsonville received the oath of office from Acting Clerk Magistrate Marjory Lambert on Friday as County Commissioner to finish the remaining two years of the term of Tom Lewis, who recently passed away.

FROG CLASS

FROG (Fitness Reaching Older Generations) classes are held Tuesday and Fridays in Cambridge at the Congregational Church from 9:30 am – 10:30 am. “No requirements, come and have fun.” Call Marty Teter at 308-697-4299 with any questions.

gathered for worship honoring family members who have died with a message encouraging us to share our stories to keep connected. This event was live-streamed on the Shafer Facebook page so those who were unable to attend could participate. Awards were presented and the “Shindig Skillet” was passed to next year’s hosts-the Jerry Shafer family for July 30 – August 6, 2023. The evening was capped off with the always popular Glow Walk and Ride throughout the campground. Sunday morning following breakfast, campers broke camp and journeyed to their respective homes.
