Locals take part in Mission Trip

Body
Teens for Christ Connection based out of Phillipsburg, Kansas served on a Disaster Relief mission trip May 31st to June 11th. In October of 2021, the TFC Staff prayed about locations for mission trips and was led to take a disaster relief trip, specifying the location would be within a day’s drive from the office in Phillipsburg. They never dreamed God would lead them to their own back yard of Paradise, KS where in December 100 mph. winds and horrific wildfires destroyed some 400,000 acres and hundreds of cattle. The team of 22 adults and teens served several ranchers by removing about 8 miles of burned barbwire fence and built a 30X36 shop for the Rathbun family who lost everything. Turns out the ministry has a connection with this family. Jim’s daughter-in-law, who passed away about 15 years ago, was a TFC Alumni and had gone on mission trips with them when she was a teenager! The group visited her grave and prayed for the family while they were there.
