LINCOLN, Neb. – Last week, U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development released a Notice of Solicitation of Applications, inviting interested persons to apply for the department’s Housing Preservation Grant, which has an application deadline of July 11, 2022, by 4:30 p.m. (CST).

The Gosper County Senior Center is in full swing and has coffee drinkers in at 8:30, pool-players in the midmorning, exercise machines that are in motion, a puzzle on the table, domino game to get started after lunch and of course great noon dinners for you to enjoy with friendly neighbors. In recognition of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on April 30th, the Tri Valley Health System Hospital Pharmacy Department supplied our local area clinics with Drug TakeAway Envelopes. These envelopes will be available to all patients who request them and will provide a safe and convenient way to dispose of prescription medications. These items will also help us in the fight to combat medication abuse. The pharmacy team has put together a template for instructions to follow with these envelopes and a list of what is acceptable and not acceptable to send back for disposal. BEAVER CITY – The city council held their regular meeting on June 6, 2022 and gave the green light for Brian and Lena Jackson to obtain a building permit for an 8-unit storage facility. The council also approved their application to receive reimbursement for one-half of the total project cost of approximately $33,000 under the sales tax grant program.
