Before the Christmas break, Santa’s FCCLA elves were in Arapahoe sharing a whole lot of joy with APS students. They filled so many hearts with JOY, including their own! Opal Coakley visitors on Christmas were Joanna Ellis and Cathy Coakley of Central City and three great-grandsons of Lincoln, NE: Adam, Dylan and Tim. Joe and Ronna Kutlas of Papillion, Joe and Abbey Prickett of Bloomington, IN; Aaron McCoy of Bertrand and Allen and Sally McCoy of Arapahoe were guests of Donna McCoy for Christmas.

Kim and Joe Helms attended the Christmas Eve program at Trinity Lutheran Church to watch Clara and Meg Hilker. Mandy Helms, Craig and Junior Hilker also attended the program to watch the girls.

On Christmas Eve, Harold and Darlene Low enjoyed a dinner and gift exchsnge with their family in Holbrook. On Christmas day they had several calls from family.

If you would like to join us please call the Center by 9:30 am. The Center is delighted with folks coming to share in the noon meal. The noon meal is available for you at 12:00 p.m. and you can come and walk through. We are offering folks the opportunity to have a carry out meal if they so desire. Please call for reservations by 9:30 a.m.

Multispecies Lottery Permit Applications Accepted Beginning January 2

LINCOLN, Neb. – Hunters can apply for the chance to win the hunting opportunity of a lifetime. Applications for multispecies Super Tag and Combo lottery permits will be accepted by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission beginning Jan. 2, 2022. One permit will be authorized for residents only, and one permit will be authorized for residents/ nonresidents. Persons may apply for the residents-only permit once per year for $25. Persons may apply for the resident/nonresident permit multiple times for $10 per application.
