The Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) released the Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System (NSCAS) results and the Accountability for a Quality Education System Today and Tomorrow, or AQuESTT classifications Wednesday. Both reports provide insight into how students are performing academically on Nebraska’s state standards.

Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, and as the meeting began, Mayor David Gunderson suggested discussing the addendum to the lease agreement between the Golf Board and the City of Cambridge.

Annually, the Cambridge Lions Club leads a food and toy drive for those members of our community who are in need. The effort reaches over 60 households in nine different communities throughout the area.

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department’s Walk to Health program is offering the “Snowflake Trek” Challenge starting December 1st through December 21st. This free walking program is open to residents of all ages in the SWNPHD nine-county health district.

INDIANOLA - The Indianola City Council met Monday to hear a presentation on the services offered by the West Central Nebraska Development District while approving four other items of business. After approval of th prior minutes and claims, Edward Dunn, the executive director of WCNDD, presented to the Council on the programming and opportunities they offer.

CURTIS, Neb. — Members of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture’s Collegiate Cattlemen traveled to Cheyenne, Wyoming, November 10–11 to participate in the Range Beef Cow Symposium, a premier educational event for ranchers and beef producers across the High Plains.

The Eustis American Legion Auxiliary held a banquet recently and speaking during the evening were Christian Maurer, Boys State representative and Bentley Stubbs, Girls State representative. Helen Dutton, (Right) was recognized as a 10 year Auxiliary member.
