Arapahoe Boys Basketball continue tradition to stock the food pantry

Body
The Arapahoe Boys basketball team canvased the town and surrounding areas on Tuesday, November 18 and Thursday, November 20 to collect food items for the Arapahoe Food Pantry. Joining in on the effort was the Arapahoe Student Council with their food drive competition at the school. They had a grade-wide competition, Pre-K -12. The overall winning class was the 3rd grade with 243 items donated; Pre-School placed second with 193 items donated and then 8th grade placed 3rd with 166 items. The 3rd grade won an Ice Cream Party! They will celebrate their win on December 3rd. Overall, at last count, and not counting what basketball had collected going door to door, the school collected 819 items to be donated to the food pantry. Some straggling donations so the count was well over 1000 items. It was a great success, and they hope to make it a yearly event. Everybody was really motivated to help and support their class.
