This commemoration is set aside to honor the commitment and sacrifices made by this nation’s prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action, as well as their families. American’s are asked to pause and reflect on the sacrifi ces made by the military men and women who are imprisoned or unaccounted for as a result of their military service.

Arapahoe, Neb., September 10, 2025 – Ag Valley Co-op, in partnership with the Land O’Lakes Foundation, Co-Bank Sharing Success, and the CHS Foundation, is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 FFA Impact Dollars. Following an application process earlier this year, ten local FFA chapters were awarded a total of $50,000 in funding to strengthen their agricultural education programs and initiatives.

The Red Willow County GOP (Republican Party) will meet Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Marlene’s Kitchen (38404 Road 719, McCook, NE). Corky Krizek will lead the Constitution Class to begin at 5:00 pm. Meet/Greet will begin at 6:30 pm followed by the business meeting at 7:00 pm.

Unit 199 of the American Legion Auxiliary met in regular session at the Community Building with 10 members present. After Presentation of the Colors, Pledge of Allegiance, Prayer, Preamble and a moment of silence in memory of 911, Pres. Witte called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m.

9/8/25: Municipal Ordinance Violation, 112 Penn St., Cambridge, NE: Report of 3 dogs chased woman back in her home. On Monday, Sept. 8, a Furnas County Sheriff’s deputy was bitten while responding to a report of dangerous animal near the 200 block of Penn Street in Cambridge.
