Wild Cat Canyon

I recently read an account in the Stamford Newsletter in 1935, of Glen, the ten year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Parker who lived 8 miles southwest of Stamford who took his air gun in the afternoon to do some target practice out in the pasture. He tramped around awhile and coming to a cave in the bank, decided to crawl in out of the wind for awhile, and sat down and went to sleep. When it began to get dark and he did not return home, his parents became alarmed and started a hunt for him.

We’ve been needing moisture, and moisture we’ve had this week. The Hill has received 1.25” since Saturday night. I’m not sure how this is fitting in with the farmers’ schedules but it’s sure been good on my newly seeded grass. On the other hand, my tomatoes are still in the kitchen sink and my cucumber seed is still in the pack. I’m not complaining.
