10 years ago Justin Malleck is all smiles as he signs a letter of intent to play football at Doane College in Crete, NE this fall. He is the son of Brian and Carla Malleck Southwest preschool enjoyed a field trip to Cody Park and North Platte Children’s Museum.

100 Years Ago May 22, 1921 Henry Klein’s barn was totally destroyed by fire, together with the contents. Damage was $2,500.

25 Years Ago May 9, 1996 A Glimmer of Twilight was the theme of the first Southern Valley Prom. Doug Marty and Sarah Becker were named King and Queen.

On April 25, 2021, Pastor James Moshier confirmed Meredith Catherine Breinig and Christopher William Hermes at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe. Meredith’s parents are Randy and Ginger Breinig. Christopher’s parents are Ryan and Robyn Hermes.

1st State Insurance agents of Holbrook, Ida Soncksen and Kate Meyers (back right) helped donate books for students! The Arapahoe 1st grade class had written "Thank you's" to the bank & they have proudly displayed them in their office windows! The children read the book in school & then got to take the book home.

Terry and Cindy Bowers went to Canton, TX April 28th to May 2. While they were there they visited the World’s largest flee market.
