Meeting on 30x30 plan set for McCook May 19

Since President Joe Biden signed his Climate Change Executive Order (EO) 124008 in January, the section that seeks to conserve 30% of U.S. lands and water by 2030 (30 x 30) has generated controversy and led to local communities fighting back against what has been coined “a landgrab.” A group of area citizens are holding a meeting to garner more opposition to the measure on Wednesday, May 19 at 7:00 pm at the Red Willow County Community Building in McCook.
