Mid-Plains Community College announces spring President’s List

A total of 131 students qualified for the President’s List during the 2021 spring semester at Mid-Plains Community College. To make the list, each student had to complete 12 or more applicable credit hours in college-level courses and maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.9 or greater on a 4.0 scale.

Gov. Ricketts joins event in McCook to push back on 30x30

MCCOOK – Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts and Trent Loos of Hazard are on a mission to get Nebraskans involved in opposing what is deemed the “30 x 30 Land Grab.” Ricketts emerged as the most vocal opponent of President Biden’s Climate Crisis Executive Order—that includes putting 30% of U.S. lands into perpetual conservation by 2030—shortly after it was signed on January 27, 2021.

Man killed in Saturday crash on Highway 6/34

On Saturday at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Red Willow County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two- vehicle head on collision on Highway 6/34 east of McCook. This is between MM 91 and MM 92.

We are open to inhouse meals and as long as our Gosper County numbers stay down we can remain open. We are following the guidelines that WCNAAA has suggested for our Center. Masks are optional.
