The Indianola City Council opened the January 2, 2024, meeting by approving the minutes of December 18, 2023, as written. Council members briefly discussed the building permit for Richard and LaRae Garretson at 119 N 6th Street, but tabled its approval due to concern about a fence line and other utilities.

The county requires that a company obtain a conditional use permit when developing alternative energy.
