A Private Graveside Service for Amelia Best will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in rural Bertrand, Nebraska, with Reverend John Strackbein officiating.

Amelia Noelle Best, infant daughter of Draden and Jada (High) Best, of Holdrege, was welcomed into this world, asleep with Jesus, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.

Amelia was preceded in death by her maternal great-great-grandparents: Arthur and Florence Jepsen; Georgann G. (Hoover) High; and Joseph “Joe” Strong; and paternal great-greatgrandparents: Donald “Bud” and Mary Best.

She is survived by her parents, Draden and Jada (High) Best of Holdrege; maternal grandparents: Jason and Rachelle (Strong) High of Bertrand; paternal grandparents: Chad and Kerrie (Schmidt) Best of Oxford, Nebraska; maternal great-grandparents: Scott and Janet Strong of rural Wilcox, Nebraska; and Scott and Michele High of Bertrand; paternal greatgrandparents: Gary and Marlys Schmidt of Blue Hill, Nebraska; maternal great-great-grandmothers: Pat Strong of Holdrege; and Fran High of Holdrege; aunts and uncles: Connor Liljestrand of Kearney, Jameson High and Jorjanna High, both of Bertrand; Dalton (Heather Benge) Best of Oxford; and Krista Best of Oxford; special cousin, Knox Best; along with many extended family members.
