CHRISTEL WILSON
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Christel Wilson was held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, NEwith Pastor Paul Vincent officiating.
Following the traditional service, cremation will take place and an inurnment will take place at a future time, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Christel Alison Wilson, 54 years of age, of Oxford, Nebraska, formerly of Jonesboro, AR, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at her home in Oxford. Christel was born, on June 15, 1971, in Doniphan, MO, the youngest of four children, born to Chester A. Vincent, Jr. and Betty Joy (Copeland) Vincent.
She received her education from Jonesboro Public Schools. She pursued higher education.
On May 3, 1996, Christel was united in marriage to Bobby Wilson at Jonesboro, AR, and they were blessed with two children: Tyler and Lavella “Christel”.
The family made their home in Jonesboro, where she was employed at as a phlebotomist and working in the lab.
In 2011, Bobby and Christel relocated to Oxford, NE. She was employed at the Harlan County Health System in Alma, NE, as a Patient Financial Coordinator.
She enjoyed helping people.
Christel enjoyed crafting. She took great pride in her garden and spent countless hours in her green house, growing and propagating plants, and later canning her harvest. But most of all, Christel loved spending time with and adored her grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for all of her fur babies and chickens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law, Carolyn Wilson; and a brotherin-law, Jacky Dunn.
Christel leaves to celebrate her life, her husband, Bobby Wilson of Oxford; her son, Tyler Decker and his wife, Shallon of Fredonia, KS; her daughter, Christel Myers and her husband, Kellin of Axtell, NE; six grandchildren: Karleigh, Leigha, and Benson Smith of Axtell; and Faithe, Brentyn, and Rayden Decker of Fredonia, KS; a brother: Paul (Melinda) Vincent of Cherokee Village, AR; two sisters: Micah (Jim) Hardin of Jonesboro; and Beth Dunn of Russellville, AR; fatherin- law, David Wilson of Bay, AR; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., prior to the service. Memorials are kindly suggested to the family.
