James W. Cox, age 81, passed away May 29, 2022 in Seward, Nebraska. He was born May 2, 1941 in Yuma, Colorado to James and Pearl (Chandler) Burrows.

James grew up around Beaver City, Nebraska and graduated from Beaver City High School in the class of 1959. He married his wife Julie Bruening soon after and celebrated 63 years together. Jim had a love of cars from an early age and spent most his time taking care of them and making them shine. Later in life he discovered a love of bicycles. He even rode in the bicycle ride across Nebraska many times. Some of those years his

sons even rode with.

He is survived by his wife Julie, children Johnny Cox and wife Holly of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jeffrey William Cox and wife Michaelle of Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania,

Joseph Wayne Cox of Beatrice, Nebraska, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister Sharon Wharton of Aurora, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside memorial services will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Hendley Cemetery in Hendley, Nebraska with pastor Clark Bates officiating. Garey Funeral Home in Beaver City is in charge of arrangements.
