LARRY L. BODFIELD

Larry Lee Bodfield, 74 passed away peacefully January 10th, 2026, at home surrounded by family. He was born on March 22, 1951, to Richard and Geraldine Bodfield in Gothenburg, Nebraska where he also attended school. He married Mary Lucille Imler on March 26th, 1971, to which four children were born, Rebecca, Angie, Michael, and Michelle. He was employed in numerous jobs over the year’s most specializing in meat processing. He was an avid outdoors man including fishing, hunting and trapping.

He passed on his lifelong learned knowledge to many over the years.

He is survived by his brother Joe (Mandy) Moore of Gothenburg, Nebraska, children Rebecca (Terry) Scott of North Platte, Nebraska, Angie (Rodney) Mason of Hartwell, Georgia, Michael (Krista) Bodfield of Beaver City, Nebraska, Michelle (David) Hauser of Raymond, Nebraska, 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary, father Richard Bodfield, Mother Geraldine (Bodfield) Moore, brother Richard (Butch) Bodfield, mother-in-law Anita Stickelman, and sister-in-law Alice Golter. Graveside memorial services will be held at Gothenburg Cemetery at a later date. Memorials can be made to Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
