LOLA MAE MOSELEY
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Lola Mae Moseley will be held on August 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Holdrege Methodist Church in Holdrege, Nebraska, with Pastor George Probasco officiating.
A private inurnment will be held at the Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, Nebraska.
Lola (Deselms) Moseley, 89 years of age, of Bertrand, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Lola was born on January 18, 1937, the eldest child of Ivan and Agnes (Rhodes) Deselms, on the family homestead southeast of Cambridge.
She attended a rural elementary school and then graduated from Cambridge High School in 1954. After her sons started school, she graduated from Kearney State College in 1973 with a bachelor’s degree in Library Science.
On August 12, 1956, Lola was united in marriage to Kendall Moseley at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cambridge. The couple was blessed with two sons: Warren and Vaughn.
She worked at the First National Bank in Cambridge for eight years. After graduating from college, she was employed as a Media Specialist in Wilcox Public School for three years and the Holdrege Public Schools for 22 years. Following her retirement, she substitute-taught in area schools for 13 years and was later employed by My Fair Lady’s Fashions in Holdrege.
Lola enjoyed trying new recipes, quilting, playing cards, and reading. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Lola was a member of the Methodist Church in Holdrege, where she was active in various church organizations.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister Virginia; brother, Melvin Deselms; in-laws, Burton and Frieda Moseley; and two brothers-in-law: Norman Chambers; Lyndal Moseley and wife, Virginia; sister-in-law, Mozelle and husbands, Jay Hutchison and James McKenzie.
Lola is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Kendall Moseley of Bertrand; two sons: Warren and wife, Sarah of Arlington, Texas; and Vaughn and wife, Kathleen of Edmond, Oklahoma; five grandchildren: Samuel Moseley and wife Shannon; Charles Moseley and wife, Cara; Audrey Moseley; Nathaniel Moseley; and Hannah Moseley; a sister, Margaret Chambers; sister-inlaw, Dixie Tellus and husband, Charles; Diane Deselms; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial has been established in Lola’s honor and kindly suggested to the family for future designation.
