Taffy Annette (Dallmann) Lewis, 52, of Oxford, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, Nebraska after a long battle with her health.
Taffy was born on January 30, 1972, to Ronald and Beverly (Maska) Dallmann and joined her older sister, Tessa to complete the family. Taffy’s father, Ron went to his heavenly home when Taffy was 12 years old. In 1991, Taffy’s mother, Beverly married Ronald Morrison and the family grew to include another brother, Kevin, and two more sisters, Staci and Jodi.
Growing up, she attended Naponee Wesleyan Church in Naponee, NE with her family. It was here she began her journey with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Later, after moving to Phillipsburg, KS she was baptized in her faith at the Phillipsburg Wesleyan Church.
Taffy graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1990 then attended University of Nebraska at Kearney and attained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education. Her first teaching position was at a Christian high school in Omaha, NE. Then she spent 19 ½ years as an educator at Southern Valley High School.
On November 30, 1991, Taffy was united in marriage to Robbin Lewis at the Church of God in Phillipsburg, KS. The couple eventually made their home in Oxford, NE. Two sons, Christian and Cedric completed their family. Together the family enjoyed playing games and visiting her happy place: the beach at the ocean. She was an avid Husker fan (with her mother) and taught her boys to love them as well. Rob eventually learned to enjoy them as well.
Taffy and her family attended Oxford First Baptist Church. For the last 20 years, Rob and Taffy have worked with TFC Connection, Phillipsburg, KS. Through this ministry, they shared the importance of Salvation and having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Taffy and Rob hosted hundreds of students in their home, modeled a deep faith in Christ, and developed relationships with many students who have went on to share Christ with their own families. Taffy often had to share her husband with students, but she did so gladly to see them come to know Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Dallmann; grandpa, Cleon Dallmann; and step-grandpa, Bill Franklin. Those left to celebrate her life and joyous entry into heaven include: her husband, Rob Lewis of Oxford; their sons, Christian Lewis and Cedric Lewis; two grandsons, Damean and Dante Lewis; her parents, Beverly and Ron Morrison of rural Phillipsburg, Kansas; parents-in-law: Verlyn and Jean (Fletcher) Lewis of Oxford; her grandma, Aldean Franklin of Smith Center, KS; siblings, Tessa (Chris) Kuehn of Heartwell, NE; Kevin Morrison of Kearney; Staci (Kraig) Reimer of Phillipsburg, KS; and Jodi (Terry) Lormand of Phillipsburg, KS; siblings-in-law: Dee (Roni) Lewis of Oxford; Paulo (Vanji) Bruxelles of Humboldt, NE; and Thomas Blaschke of Germany; nieces and nephews: Jaelyn, Trak, Ryder, Anisha, Jozef, Eliona, Tavia (Jonathan), Brynna, Pressler, Kinze (Brant), Kenda (Drew), Kylie, Khloe, Kannon, Bethanie (Richard), and Kasee; along with numerous aunts, uncles, several great-nieces, great-nephews and many extended family members and brothers and sisters in Christ.
