Katherine Jo (Stewart) Tellus of Cambridge, Nebraska, passed away from complications due to Alzheimer’s on Friday, January 31st, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home in Bloomfi eld, Nebraska. She was seventy-six years old.

William Charles “Bill” Strackbein, age 55, of Overton, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Grand Island Regional Medical Center, Grand Island, Nebraska surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 16th, 1969, in Kansas and then was adopted by Gerald C and Ruth (Urban) Strackbein. He is the Oldest of 3 children.

Helen Joan (Ruppert) Magee, age 92, of McCook, died on January 31, 2025. When God whispered her name and called her to join his heavenly choir for all eternity, Helen was ready and gladly went.

A Memorial Service for Gerald E. Silver will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Daren Popple officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Martin-Horn American Legion Post #66 and the United States Air Force Honors Team, at the funeral home. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Scott Eldon Orcutt, 58, of Ogallala, passed away on January 27, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska. Scott was born in Fountain, Colorado, on October 17, 1966, to Harold Earl Orcutt and Elva May (Geising) Orcutt.

Zachary Adam Wilson, age 31, of Holbrook, Nebraska passed away January 17th 2025. Zach was born on July 26th, 1993, in Hastings, Nebraska to Kipp Wilson and Jimmi Andruss. Zach was known for his loyalty, sense of humor, and he was his family’s biggest protector. He enjoyed working out, UFC, action movies, listening to music, and spending time with his siblings. Although his time on earth was short, his stories and memory will forever live on in all who loved him. Zach is preceded in death by his father; Kipp Wilson, Paternal grandmother; Marian Wilson, and maternal grandmother; Marilyn Andruss. He is survived by his mother; Jimmi Andruss, brothers; Andrew Andruss and Isaiah Wilson, sister; Kylie Andruss, aunts; Nickhol Andruss and Michel Moore, Niece; Emma Andruss, and cousins and friends that loved him dearly. Christopher Michael Herrick, age 50, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Cambridge Hospital, Cambridge, Nebraska. He was born on April 2, 1974, in Kirkland, Washington to Deena Joy Herrick.

Janice A. (Hedstrom) Blincow, Age 88, formerly of Oxford Ne., passed away on January 11th, 2025 after a brief illness at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln Ne. She was most recently living in Ashland Ne. Janice was born on March 8th, 1936 in Holdrege Ne. to Vincent and Garnet (Rydlund) Hedstrom. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mark and son Steve. She is survived by daughters Brenda Thulin and Shelly Fastenau; sons Ken and Ron, brother Dennis Hedstrom; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
