Betty Meyerle, 94, of Cambridge Nebraska left us after a long, full, and wonderful life on May 6th. Our mother was very loved and will be deeply missed.

Janeice “Birdie” C. Jumps, age 87 of Culbertson, passed away at the Wauneta Care Center in Wauneta, NE on July 6, 2023. She was born in McCook, NE on March 10, 1936, to Donald “Bud” and Merylin (Rippen) Fassler. She attended and graduated Culbertson High School in 1953. On February 22, 1955, Birdie was united in marriage to Robert Jumps. To this union four children were born, Mark, Trina, Craig, and Lisa. Robert preceded her in death in 1992.

Wesley F Smith, age 93, formerly of Beaver City and Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away at his apartment in Cedarwood Assisted Living at Fairbury, Nebraska on Monday, June 19, 2023. His parents were P.C.

Lula Mae “Lu” Six, age 87, of Hastings, Nebraska, formerly of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village at Hastings, Nebraska. She was born on September 13, 1935 at Furnas County, Nebraska to Floyd and Mamie (King) Breinig.

Mitchel Dee Cross passed away on June 10, 2023, from a heart attack in Montrose, CO, at the age of 60. Mitch was born on December 26, 1962, to Frank and Norma (Waggoner) Cross. The oldest of five children, they lived on a farm north of Edison, NE, in the Turkey Creek area. Mitch explored and hunted every inch of it.

March 28, 1984 - April 15, 2023 Loren Alton Mooney, age 39 passed away at his home in Nipomo, California. He was born at Long Beach Memorial Hospital to Susan Locklair Mooney and Rockie Mooney. Loren attended Lampton Elementary, Glazier Elementary, Los Alisos Middle School, and graduated from El Camino High School in La Mirada, Class of 2002. He participated in Little League, soccer and Boy Scouts Troop 911, 533. He became an Eagle Scout in February 2002.

Janis Lorette (Pearson) Ledbetter, age 92, of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away on June 9, 2023 at Phelps Memorial Hospital, in Holdrege, Nebraska. She was born on February 2, 1931 to Roy R. & Jessie (Hubbell) Pearson on the farm north of Orleans, Nebraska. She was the youngest of 7 children and she was also a twin.

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Yvonne Bunnell, our loving and devoted mother and grandmother, on June 16th, 2023 at the age of 97. Born in Totowa, New Jersey on January 9th, 1926 to French immigrant parents and the youngest of ten children, Yvonne ‘came of age’ during World War II.

Robert Jerman, 86, of Absarokee, Montana, passed away on May 1, 2023. He was born on Nov. 28, 1936, in Fresno, California to parents who would raise a man that embodied resilience, curiosity, and an unwavering love for adventure.
