The Southern Valley volleyball team notched its ninth and tenth wins of the year with three-set victories over Wilcox-Hildreth and Axtell last Thursday. The eagles opened the night by handing Axtell just its fourth loss of the season with a 20-25, 25-20, 25-18 victory.

SOUTHERN VALLEY The Hi-Line football team opened district play with a 48-26 victory at Southern Valley Friday. With a workmanlike effort, the Bulls opened a lead on the Eagles in the first half, then rode the advantage to victory.

ARAPAHOE - The Southwest volleyball team hit the road last Tuesday and took a 3-0 win at Arapahoe. Errors mounted for both teams at times, but the Roughriders produced more offense in a 25-16, 26-24, 2515 win over the Warriors.

HAYES CENTER - In a meet delayed a day by inclement weather, the Cambridge and ARapahoe girls finished second and third and the boys finished third and fourth at the Maywood-Hayes Center Cross Country Invite.

After a week off, the Hi-Line cross country team got the chance to run in the crowded UNK field. The girls had 176 finishers in their race and the boys had 260.

SUTHERLAND - The Southwest volleyball team had another successful tournament performance Saturday at Sutherland, winning the first two matches of the day before falling in the tournament championship to No. 3 Overton.
