ALMA - The Hi-Line boys golf team again finished runner-up and medaled four golfers at the Alma Invite Monday. The Bulls posted a 342 and finished seven strokes back of Overton and four ahead of Loomis.

Deterding and Ahlemeyer went third and fifth in the pole vault, and Johnson placed sixth in the triple jump. The MHC Lady Wolves had 84 points as a team for second place.

The Elwood Public Schools Board of Education met on Thursday, April 11th, 2024. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m.

Hudson Weeder shot 83 to take 11th. Hi-Line’s Judah Niemeier rounded out the medalists with an 85, good for 15th place.

CAMBRIDGE - Arapahoe, Cambridge, Maywood-Hayes Center, Southern Valley, and Southwest competed with other schools as the annual Don Stine Invite at Cambridge Monday. For the girls' teams, Cambridge placed second as a team, Southern Valley and Maywood-Hayes Center tied for fourth, Arapahoe placed seventh, and Southwest placed eighth.

ARNOLD - The Medicine Valley track and field team traveled to Arnold, NE, to compete at the South Loup Invite last Friday. The boys placed fourth as a team with 66 points and the girls placed third as a team with 64 points.

JOHNSON LAKE - With howling winds, four local golf teams opened their seasons last Thursday at the Hi-Line Invite. Despite the conditions, four teams broke 360 in team score and Southern Valley finished fifth with a 372 and Hi-Line took sixth with a 376.

ARAPAHOE - With improved weather came improved scores as 24 of 66 golfers broke 90 at the Arapahoe Invite Tuesday. Hi-Line led seven area teams in finishing third at the meet with a team score of 335.

KEARNEY - The Arapahoe Warrior's track and field team traveled to Kearney last Thursday to compete in the Pleasanton Dick O'Neill Memorial Invitational. Against thirteen teams, the Lady Warriors placed fourth as a team and the Arapahoe boys tied for eleventh.

SUTHERLAND - The Maywood-Hayes Center track and field team traveled to Sutherland last Thursday to compete in the Sutherland Booster Club Invite. The MHC boys placed second out of ten teams, and the girls placed fourth as a team.
