Trompke closes career at the top

OMAHA - Entering his senior track season, Cambridge’s Carson Trompke had decided it was his time. This past weekend, Trompke concluded his high school career with a pair of State Championships, winning both the 1,600 meter run and the 3,200 meter run.

OMAHA - Numbering four strong, the Southern Valley Lady Eagles placed second out of 44 teams at the 2024 State Track and Field Meet in Omaha. Adi Hunt, Ann Bose, Brecklyn Hammond, and Brynn Baily competed at the state meet last Friday and Saturday and scored 46 points as a team.
Southern Valley’s Ann Bose won the Class D girls’ high jump by having the least amount of misses by 5’4”.

After setting the record and qualifying for finals in the 100, Hunt ran the 400-meter finals. She placed second with a time of 57.37, a personal record for her. Clara Spargo of DCS got first, beating Hunt by just 0.63 seconds.
Brynn Baily threw 115’10” in the discus at state.
