Warren Eldred “Wuzzy” Harper, age 8o, passed away at his home in Holbrook, Nebraska on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Wuzzy was born November 28, 1940 in Clay Center, Kansas, son of Charles Eldred “Ike” Harper and Nellie Harper.

Linda Rae Sayer of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on January 21, 2021. She was born on May 19, 1945 and was the daughter of William and Mabel Sayer. Services will be held in Holbrook, Nebraska at a later date.

Leora Mae Messersmith, 83, of Farnam, Nebraska, died January 31, 2021 at the Elwood Care Center. She was born September 6, 1937 in North Platte, NE, daughter of Mike and Sylvia Knoll.

Dorothea Clara “Dorothy” Hoefs, age 82, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Phelps Memorial Hospital, in Holdrege, Nebraska. She was born on November 27, 1938 at Gosper County, Nebraska to Cornelius and Clara (Ziebell) Wendland. She was the fourth in line of five girls. She attended country school at Immanuel Lutheran School until high school. She attended Arapahoe High School and graduated with the class of 1957. On July 6, 1958, Dorothea married Garrett Hoefs at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska. The marriage was blessed through Lutheran Family Adoption Services with two children: Monica Ann in October of 1967 & Alan Terry in September of 1969.

Ward Clarence Urbom, age 99, of Arapahoe Nebraska passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the CA Mues Good Samaritan Center, in Arapahoe. Ward was born on February 2, 1922 at Atlanta, Nebraska to Clarence Andrew Urbom and Anna Myrl (Irelan) Urbom.

Robert E. Niemeier, 98, died on (February 4th, 2021) at Providence Place Memory Care in Hastings, Nebraska. He was born on August 2nd, 1922 to August H. Niemeier Sr. and Mathilde (ten Bensel) Niemeier in Holbrook, Nebraska. He grew up in the area and graduated from Holbrook High School in 1940.

Wanda Darlene Wolzen was born November 26, 1929, near Hendley, Nebraska, to John and Lyda (Ruhs) Wolzen. She died Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, due to complications from Covid-19.

Brenda Marie Pretzer, age 76, of Elwood, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege after a threeyear battle with cancer. She was born on October 6, 1944 to Arthur and Marie (Putnam) Pretzer, Brenda was the oldest of five children.

Ardyth Ann Banzhaf, 8o, a longtime resident of Orafino, Nebraska, went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 29, 2021. Ardyth Ann Oehlerking was the fourth child born to Alvin and Lily (Schroeder) Oehlerking on December 17, 1940 in Omaha, Nebraska.
