Roberta Ann (Ruppert) Werkmeister, age 94, of Palisade, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook. Roberta was born January 11, 1930, at Quick, NE to Clifford and Nellie (Boson) Ruppert.

Janice Kay (Bailey) Hofferber, age 81, of Kearney, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in Kearney, Nebraska, following a courageous battle with cancer. Jan was born on November 6, 1942, in Wichita, Kansas, to William F. and Adelia Marie (Stillman) Bailey. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. As a young girl, Jan and her mother moved to Nebraska to be closer to family. Janice graduated from Elwood High School.

October 9, 1926 - July 17, 2024 Phylis LaRae Dahl, 97, left this earth peacefully on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, to join her Heavenly Father for eternity. Phylis was born on October 9, 1926, the oldest daughter to Naomi & Wesley Fong, and grew up in Elwood, NE.

Funeral services for Michael James Durner, age 57 of Cheyenne, Wyoming, who passed Friday July 12th 2024, at Regional West Hospital in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, will be held at the Bartley Cemetery as a graveside service, on Thursday July 18th at 10:00 am, with Tim Burke officiating.

Wilma Elaine Olson, age 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. Wilma was born February 3, 1929, in Nebraska to Klee and Laura (Fisher) Bethel.

Eugene E. Brown, age 64 of York, NE, died Sunday, July 14, 2024 in York. He was born on March 29, 1960 to Lloyd and Carlen (Schleicher) Brown in Cambridge, NE. On October 19, 1985 he was united in marriage to Tami Bourelle in Holdrege, NE.

A memorial service for Marvin W. Sheneman, Jr. will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Envoy Steven Dahl and Uncle Jerry White officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Stamford Cemetery in Stamford, Nebraska.

A memorial service for Richard E. Dietz will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Reverend Kenton Birtell officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Nebraska.

Erna (Coady) Martin was born in Oxford, NE on April 13, 1929, the daughter of John Bernard Coady and Theodocia Luella Smith. Erna celebrated her 95th birthday in 2024 and passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024 in Parker, CO.
