Pamela Jane Esslinger, age 73, of McCook, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Community Hospital in McCook, Nebraska. She was born on August 2, 1949, at Denver, Colorado to Alfred and Ellen Jane (Meyers) DeSaire, the oldest of 6 children.

Reba Pearl Shafer, age 100, formerly of Beaver City, Nebraska passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She was born December 9, 1921 in Beaver City, Nebraska to Benjamin and Essie Wells.

A memorial graveside service for Robert D. Beck will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska. Military honors will be provided by the North Platte American Legion in conjunction with the United States Air Navy Honors Team.

Georgia J. “Jody” Kirby age 87, passed away at the Community Hospital of Mc-Cook, NE on November 25, 2022.

Steven E. Best, age 64, of Wilsonville, Nebraska passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022, at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, Nebraska. He was born on July 24, 1958, in Great Falls, Montana to Eugene E. and Dorothy L. (Schoolmeesters) Best. He attended high school in California and then moved to Colorado after his schooling. He started his own painting business and ran it for over 40 years in Denver, doing multiple housing projects and private residences. He used to say he loved making everyone’s life have more color. In 2005, Steve and some others saved a women’s life while riding motorcycles and he endangered himself by swimming to a rollover underwater, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office recognized him with the Life Saving Award for this.

Funeral Services for Barbara Lans were held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stamford, Nebraska with Reverend Thalia Woodworth officiating. Interment followed at the Stamford Cemetery.

Owen Willis Stagemeyer, age 87, long time Arapahoe, Nebraska resident, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at his farmstead of 70+ years. Owen was born on September 15, 1935, in rural Frontier County, Nebraska to William and Mary (Schutz) Stagemeyer.

Eleanor Christine Schneider Nott peacefully passed into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father at the age of 95, on Tuesday, November 14, 2022 at Holdrege Memorial Homes in Holdrege, Nebraska. She was born April 1, 1927, in Holbrook, Nebraska, to William and Louise (Siekjost) Schneider.

Barbara Lans, 71 years of age, of Stamford, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Gary Eugene Lytton of Kenesaw, NE, age 73 passed away at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings on November 11, 2022. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 21, 1949, to Dale and Gertrude (Johnson) Lytton. Gary went to School in Truro, Iowa and later graduated from Dunwoody School of Engineering in Minneapolis, MN, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Gary served his country in the U.S. Army from September 23, 1969 and was Honorably Discharged on September 7, 1971. Gary served in the Viet Nam Conflict.
