Body BENKELMAN - The Cambridge football team could not have asked for better opportunities to start Thursday's regular season finale at Dundy County-Stratton.

Body CAMBRIDGE - The Arapahoe and Cambridge volleyball teams opened the Republican Plains Activities Conference Tournament against each other Monday in Cambridge.

Body Monday evening at the first round of the RPAC Volleyball Tournament No. 1 seeded Alma hosted matches. The first meeting of the evening was a battle between fourth-seeded Southwest and fifth-seeded Southern Valley.

Body MCCOOK - The Cambridge volleyball team reached its first Republican Plains Activities Conference Tournament Championship game since 2007 and finished runner-up in a hard-fought pair of matches Tuesday night at the Graff Events Center in McCook.

Body CAMBRIDGE - The Cambridge girls cross country team finished third and qualified for State while Hi-Line’s Whitney Dickau also qualified individually at the Class D-5 District Cross Country Meet held in Cambridge Thursday.

Body ARAPAHOE- It was another dominant performance for the Arapahoe Warriors as they took down the Southern Valley Eagles 52-26 in the regular-season finale last Thursday. It was slow going to start out for both teams as they traded possessions.

Body EUSTIS - With a strong start, the Hi-Line football team commanded Friday's final regular season game throughout the first half. But as some injuries mounted and the visiting Hitchcock County Falcons got their running game amped up, the lead slipped away.

Body BERTRAND - It was a battle between 6-0 Arapahoe and 5-1 Bertrand on Friday night for the D1-9 District Title and it was the Warriors coming away with a 32-12 win.

Body CAMBRIDGE - Both teams enjoyed 14-point leads, then both teams lost those leads. The final play of regulation left both teams thinking they had a chance to win it right there.

Body BERTRAND - Eighteen individuals medaled and the Cambridge girls and Alma/Southern Valley boys cross country teams each finished runner-up at the Republican Plains Activities Conference Meet in Bertrand Thursday.
