Raiders continue winning ways, remain unbeaten

Medicine Valley remained undefeated on the gridiron with a 56-28 over 2-2 Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Friday. The Raiders were quick to get on the board, recovering an onside kick to start the game then scoring on a passing touchdown to Payton Newcomb on the first play from scrimmage.

WALLAcE - over an incredibly busy week of competition, the Maywood/ hayes center volleyball ripped off eight wins in the span of eight days, capturing a tournament title at Sutherland while sweeping a triangular at Wallace as well.

Eagles roll past Axtell, now 4-1

Southern Valley improved its football record to 4-1 with a 52-8 win over 0-5 Axtell Friday. The Eagles took a 22-0 lead into the second quarter and expanded their advantage to 37-0 lead at halftime.

ARTHUR - Playing a bit beat up and shorthanded, the Southwest football team fell flat at Arthur County Friday, suffering its first defeat of the season, 52-19. In a battle of unbeatens, the Wolves used an explosive passing game to build a big first-half lead, then coasted to the finish.

The Southern Valley/Alma softball team split a triangular Monday, downing Chase County, 19-7, before falling to Kearney Catholic, 11-0. The Saints, now 14-10 on the season, have one game remaining Thursday at Kearney Catholic before entering postseason play Monday.

Trojans sweep past Medicine Valley

CURTIS - With a great amount of service pressure and offense, the Cambridge volleyball team rolled past Medicine Valley Thursday, taking a 25-14, 25-14, 25-10 victory over the Raiders. Cambridge hit .389 in the match as Brooklyn Holtze smashed 15 kills and Joslyn Holtze added 11.
