Hi-Line’s football team continues to look for its season’s first win after an 18-44 loss to South Loup Friday. After the Bobcats were first on the board Friday, Hi-Line responded with a 52-yard drive, capped by a 30-yard pass from Lucas Cochrane to Karter Tilson.

CAMBRIDGE - A flurry of three touchdowns in four minutes of game time pushed Cambridge out of a 20-point hole and into the lead Friday night against Dundy County Stratton, but the Trojans struggled to corral the Tigers ground game and eventually dropped their first contest of the season, 54-34.

BARTLEY - The Southwest and Southern Valley volleyball teams met twice last week, matching up in a triangular with Sutherland Thursday before both landing at the Elm Creek Invite Saturday. In both matches, the Eagles took the opener 25-21 before falling in three sets.

After suffering its second five-set loss in five days, the Medicine Valley volleyball team picked up its first win of the season Saturday. The Raiders, which lost to Silver Lake in five sets Sept.

Southwest Nebraska cross country teams converged in Cambridge Friday for one of the season’s biggest meets. Eighteen high schools, including 10 RPAC teams, tolerated a weather delay before hitting the wet course.

The Southwest and Maywood/ Hayes Center volleyball teams both returned home from a trip to Colby, Kansas Sept. 3 after a triangular with Rawlins County, Kansas.
