Track teams conclude regular season at Alma

Body ALMA - A number of area track and field teams wrapped up the regular season at the Dale Harsin Invite in Alma Thursday. The Cambridge girls captured the team title while Southern Valley, Southwest, Arapahoe and Hi-Line finished in the top six.
While it was important for athletes to get a final competition in before this week’s district meet, there was also time for fun - like the Southern Valley weight relay using a cell phone as a baton.

Body CAMBRIDGE - The Maywood/ Hayes Center girls finished tied for second and the Hi-Line boys were third at the Republican Plains Activities Conference Track and Field Meet in Cambridge Friday.

Roughriders lead way at Med Valley

Body CURTIS - The Southwest boys golf team fired a 365 on a day when they course won more often than not at the Medicine Valley Invite Thursday. Houston Billeter took third with a round of 82 and led the Roughriders to a third-place finish.

Body ALMA - The Cambridge boys golf team finished second, Southern Valley was fourth and Hi-Line was fifth at the Alma Invite Tuesday. Arapahoe also took tenth in and Medicine Valley was 14th in the 17-team field.

Arapahoe boys take title at Raiders Invite

Body CAMBRIDGE - At a meet wisely delayed from Friday to Monday for weather, track and field athletes shined in the sunshine as the Arapahoe boys captured the team title and the Cambridge girls finished runner-up at the Medicine Valley Invite at Cambridge.
Southwest’s Gage Hammond took first in pole vault at the Medicine Valley Invite Monday, then broke the school record with a vault of 14-2 Tuesday at Gothenburg.
