The Arapahoe-Holbrook High School Prom was held Saturday evening with royalty announced after the promenade. King and queen are Isaac Goshert and Brianna Conn. (L-R) Cord Frink, Miya Odell, Isaac Goshert-King, Brianna Conn-Queen, Reilley Einspahr-Prince and Elizabeth Bell-Princess, Conner Luke and Adrienne Bowers. Country Casino was the 2021 theme and a dinner and dance was held following the promenade.

The Good Samaritan Society with the help of activity director Star Corbin (top left) celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a Booze and Tattoos party. Star put removable tattoos on the residents and they enjoyed a treat and a non-alcoholic beverage. Emergency Vehicle Operations class

The State Fire Marshall Training Division was in Arapahoe Thursday through Saturday for surrounding fire departments to take part in an Emergency Vehicle Operations class. They had an obstacle course set up where the ambulance and fire department members had to drive through down town. They had classes Thursday and Friday night and the members from Edison, Holbrook, Beaver City and Arapahoe had to drive through the course on Saturday morning.

25 Years Ago March 28, 1996 Bill Weaver, 1995 Beaver City Lions Club president, was presented with the Club President Excellence Award by Nick Schultz, Past District Governor. Bill was one of four presidents of the 47 clubs in the District receiving the award.

10 years ago Speaker Charlotte Endorf will present a program on Children’s Orphan Train on Saturday, April 9 at the Spring Fling. 20 years ago Elwood’s MODS club representative were on hand last week for the EMS skills night to present checks to the Elwood Rescue and Johnson Lake Rescue Departments in the amount of $380 each from their Christmas House tours.
