Body The fairly extensive railroad collection belonging to Gary Schroeder is featured in the summer 2023 publication of ‘The Railroadia Express’. The magazine is the official publication of the Railroadiana Collectors Association.

Body Residents and nonresidents may apply for a draw status Nebraska deer permit in three mule deer conservation areas June 12-23. In 2023, the Platte Mule Deer Conservation Area, Pine Ridge MDCA and the Frenchman MDCA are the only deer permits in the drawing.

Body The town of Cambridge, Nebraska has gained a new visual attraction in the form of stunning vintage murals. A local community effort, the project focuses on the John Aiken building, a cornerstone of downtown Cambridge’s history.

Body The Wilsonville Garden Club meets once a month during the growing/harvest season to share information, tips, plants and bulbs. It has been helpful and fun to “glean” fresh ideas about new methods and trends by visiting other successful gardeners and businesses.

Body The Red Willow County GOP (Republican Party) will meet Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Bedore Barn/Marlene’s Kitchen (3miles north of Mc-Cook). Meet/Greet is at 6:30 pm followed by the business meeting at 7:00 pm. Plans for the Red Willow County Fair booth will be finalized.
