Food, Gift Cards and Toys delivered

Body
Cambridge Lions, with the help of the Holbrook Lions and Indianola Knights of Columbus, were able to deliver 10 pickup loads of food, gift cards, and toys to 50 families in the surrounding communities this past Saturday. This annual event has been going on since the 1980’s and this year provided support to 178 individuals in those 50 families. Thank you to the Cambridge Supermarket for boxing up all the food ahead of time and for community members who have supported this project with their generous donations of funds and toys. It’s a great example of our community helping each other out, and Lions are grateful to be a part of that equation. Merry Christmas! Tri Valley Health System Auxiliary Thrift Shop volunteers Pat Downer and Sharon Lightle also presented four totes of new toys and games to Lions Club members for the annual Lions Christmas project. They also shared 50 ten dollar gift certificates to the Thrift Shop for the Lions to include in their gift baskets. Merry Christmas from the TVHS Auxiliary.
