Community Hospital Health Foundation Supports Rehabilitation with Grant for BlazePod Agility System

McCook, NE—Community Hospital Health Foundation is excited to announce a grant awarded to enhance physical therapy services through the purchase of a BlazePod System. These innovative tools are designed to improve agility, reaction time, and overall physical performance. Initiated by Ryan Hardin, Community Hospital Physical Therapist, this engaging therapy equipment will primarily be utilized by the Community Hospital Rehabilitation Center’s physical therapy team, with potential applications in occupational therapy as well.
Justin Chancellor actively engages with BlazePods during a physical therapy session, utilizing the innovative tap-and-response system to improve agility, reaction time, and overall rehabilitation progress.

High has case bound over to district court

Nicholas High, of Bertrand, has had his case bound over to the District Court of Frontier County after he waived his preliminary hearing January 10. The charges had been amended and he now faces eight felony counts.

Holbrook man found deceased along rural road

Friday afternoon at about 1:15 p.m., the Furnas County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a sanitation truck driver. The driver reported that he had found a male subject in the west ditch along Road 414 approximately a quarter mile south of Road 725 northwest of Holbrook, Nebraska. The driver of the sanitation truck reported that the male subject was clearly deceased.

Meteorologists at the National Weather Service have heard all the jokes about weather forecasters. 'You mean like how I shouldn't have been paid for the last 30 years?' Mike Moritz, the warning coordination meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Hastings, said with a laugh.
