BARTLEY – In addition to the village board and employees, ten citizens attended Bartley’s regular board meeting on May 13. Kathy Hansen shared that on June 27, 320 bikers with the Tour De Nebraska will stop off at Bartley.

Maywood to Welcome third Foreign Exchange teacher

During the Maywood School Board monthly meeting on May 12, the board accepted the resignation of English teacher Rachel Callis and approved the hiring of Lehandre Venter. Venter, a South African native, who is currently teaching in Panama, has impressive credentials that include serving as head school master in China for five years.

Five medal at Knipping Invite

Southern Valley’s Tylor Grove shot an 87 to take fifth and four others medaled at the Knipping Invite held in Oxford last week. McCook and Holdrege tied for the team title with a 350.
