Beaver City man killed in Thursday afternoon crash

BEAVER CITY - On Thursday just after lunch time, Furnas County 911 received a report of a one-vehicle rollover with injuries near the intersection of Road 713 and Road 427, northwest of Beaver City. Deputies from the Furnas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, along with Beaver City Fire and Rescue, Beaver City EMS, Phelps County Advanced Life Support, and Apollo MedFlight Nebraska.

CURTIS – The 2025 FCCLA National Leadership Conference (NLC) took place in Orlando, FL, from July 5-9, 2025, drawing more than 10,000 students, educators, and guests from across the nation. LINCOLN, NE – Today, the Judicial Nominating Commission for the District Court Judge in the 11th Judicial District provided the following two names for consideration by Governor Jim Pillen: Chawnta M Durham of North Platte and Terry L VanEaton of Lexington. The 11th Judicial District consists of Arthur, Chase, Dawson, Dundy, Frontier, Furnas, Gosper, Hayes, Hitchcock, Hooker, Keith, Lincoln, Logan, McPherson, Perkins, Red Willow, and Thomas counties. The vacancy is due to the resignation of Judge Matthew Neher.
