PEO Chapter BC, Cambridge, was pleased to award their local scholarship to Mileeya Monter during our April monthly meeting. Monter was selected based on her academic achievements, leadership experience, and community involvement.

Unit 199 of the American Legion Auxiliary met in regular session at the Community Building on April 10, 2025 with 8 members present. After Presentation of the Colors, Prayer and Preamble, Pres. Witte called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m. The minutes of the March meeting were read. Sue Witte made a motion to approve; Carol seconded; the motion passed.

Diversified Livestock Production Ellie Weatherwax of Southern Valley took third place Service Learning Julea Moore of Elwood finished second place..

The Southern Valley chapter was recognized as a Gold level chapter in the National Chapter Award application, which means they can submit the application for National recognition. They were recognized as a Model of Excellence chapter finalist and placed 1st in the Growing Leaders division.

The FBLA members had an amazing state conference this year! Besides the wonderful aspects of the conference, they also learned the importance of flexibility, perseverance, and networking. The Medicine Valley FCCLA chapter returned home last week from another excellent trip to State Leadership Conference. Medicine Valley did wonderful and represented their chapter well.
