Cambridge TeamMates End of Year Bowling Party

The Cambridge TeamMates had 85 mentors and mentees at their annual End of Year Bowling Party & Senior Celebration. They held the event at TJ’s Fun Center in McCook and recognized eleven seniors with a $500 scholarship for each of them to help with their future education. They also had three seniors receive scholarships from the TeamMates National office and they were recognized with certificates as well. Everyone had a great time eating pizza and bowling and celebrating a successful year of mentoring. The Cambridge chapter currently has 58 matches with another 4 boys waiting for a mentor. Arrest made in weekend burglaries in Eustis

In the early morning hours of Saturday, March 29, the Frontier County Sheriff's Office was notified of thefts that occurred in the Village of Eustis. Upon investigation, it was determined that 3 males entered approximately 10 vehicles and a garage where they stole several items.

Arapahoe’s Rathbun takes gold at State Speech

In his fourth year of participation in Humorous Prose, Arapahoe’s Lael Rathbun was determined to make finals at State speech after coming up just short of medaling at State a year ago. But during Thursday’s awards ceremony, Rathbun was floored when he found out he was a State Champion.
“I would definitely say arts have brought me out of my shell,” he said. “They’ve made me more charismatic and more comfortable around other people.”

Cambridge School Board selects building plan

The Cambridge Board of Education held a special meeting on Monday to hear public comment on and select a pathway for their planned building project. After an hour of public comment, the Board voted 5-1 to move forward with Concept Design K, a $19.2 million proposal that includes demolition of the two-story portion of the school and construction of a single story addition to replace it.
