Bus accident results in no major injuries

Body An Arapahoe school bus rolled onto its side on a mudpacked road on the afternoon of Monday, November 18. Gosper County Sheriff Josh Richie reported the bus drifted toward the ditch and rolled onto its side with seven children and one adult.

Cambridge One-Act finishes RPAC runner-up

Body HOLDREGE - The RPAC One-Act contest was held at The Tassel in Holdrege on Thursday, November 14. The conference was divided into East and West divisions with eight schools in competing in each division.

Area Veterans Receive Quilts of Honor

Body Richard was deployed to Pearl Harbor, and she was stationed in San Diego and later Long Beach. In addition, to the 14 quilts that were presented at the Senior Center on Tuesday, three other quilts were presented to area veterans.
Bob Vorhies (Army 2001-2004) was presented his quilt last Thursday in Holdrege by Bill Erickson.

Big game meetings scheduled across Nebraska

Body Hunters and landowners are encouraged to offer their feedback on big game information during the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s public meetings this winter. These 2½-hour meetings are scheduled in each Game and Parks district.

Body We’ve had some nice moisture since I last created a Lebanon News column. The area received a nice general soaking rain a couple weeks ago that put everything to bed in good shape for the winter.

Body The Great American Smokeout is November 21, 2024. This is also an exciting year, as Governor Pillen is signing a proclamation that declares November 17-23, 2024, Tobacco Cessation Awareness Week.
