About 15 were in attendance for the Southern Valley School Board meeting on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 8 pm in the auditorium. Most were there to talk about the football program. Football was on the agenda as a discussion item.

Gosper County Sheriff Jesse Naputi has resigned his position effective October 15, 2024. Naputi’s term was to run until January 2027. Naputi submitted his resignation to Gosper County on August 28 during their meeting. A special meeting was held on September 3 to accept the resignation.
