Unit 199 of the American Legion Auxiliary met in the Cambridge Community Building on April 11, with 8 members present. After Presentation of the Colors, Pledge of Allegiance, Prayer and Preamble, Pres. Witte called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m. The minutes of the March meeting were read. Sue made a motion to approve the minutes; Mary Lou seconded.

Kansas City, MO — Saturday, April 20, 2024, marks an unofficial cannabis “celebration,” and there will likely be an increase in marijuana use. To help keep drugimpaired drivers off the roads, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Region 7, which includes Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, is teaming up with local law enforcement to spread the message that drug-impaired driving is dangerous and illegal. NHTSA wants to remind all drivers: If You Feel Different, You Drive Different. So don’t drive high, or you’ll get a DUI.
