Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, February 3, 2025. After the Pledge of Allegiance and the Open Meeting Law announcement, the council approved the consent agenda, which included the minutes from the previous city council meeting and the claims.

400-plus Huskers named to Deans’ Commendation List for Fall 2025

LINCOLN, NE (02/03/2026)-- More than 400 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ Commendation List for the fall semester of the 2025-26 academic year. The Commendation List recognizes students in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education and Human Sciences, College of Engineering and/or College of Journalism and Mass Communications who met or exceeded a specified grade-point average and carried six to 11 graded semester hours.

NCTA Recognizes Faculty and Staff Excellence

CURTIS - At the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, 2025 was defined not only by programs and progress, but by people. The faculty and staff who support, mentor, teach, and care for students every day continue to be the college’s greatest strength. Selected by their peers, the awards celebrated four individuals whose dedication, leadership, and service exemplified the heart of NCTA and the life-changing impact of a small campus with the critical mission of preparing students for agricultural and animal health careers.

Cambridge Board votes to end girls wrestling co-op with Southwest

The Cambridge Board of Education met in regular session on Monday and, among other items, held a lengthy discussion on whether or not to continue its girls wrestling co-op with Southwest. After much public comment as well as additional discussion later, the Board acted to end the Trojans’ co-op with the Roughriders by a 4-1 vote.

Students Share Legislative Experience with Arapahoe Board Members

ARAPAHOE – During the February 9 school board meeting, members were updated on the January 22 field trip that three Arapahoe-Holbrook students participated in at the state capitol in Lincoln. Board member Erick Lee, who also serves on the NASB board and the State Board of Education, coordinated activities for Adellyn Hoefs, Hunter Jorschumb, and Thomas Magorian.

The Elwood Public Schools Board of Education met on Monday, February 9th, 2026. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. School board members Kristy Diefenbaugh and Bryant Knoerzer were absent. There was no public comment.
